11/30/05  Horses bred by Berkshire Stud won two races on opposite sides of the continent today. Speedjama (Elusive Quality/Lhotse) won an open $35,000 claimer at Aqueduct to increase his earnings to $65,160 and Rough Justice (Cape Town/Only on Tuesday) broke his maiden at Golden Gate Fields in California in his second lifetime start after finishing second in his initial outing.

11/6/05 GOLDEN STRAVINSKY (Stravinsky/Shagadellic) dark bay colt 3, bred by Berkshire Stud and Oak Cliff Breeders, Inc., finished second in the Group 3 Premio Umbria in Rome, Italy.Carrying equal top weight of 134 pounds he was the only three year-old to finish in the top eleven runners. Already a listed stakes winner of over $246,889 GOLDEN STRAVINSKY led until just before the wire in the six furlong graded sprint on the turf.


11/2/05 Elisa's Energy (Chester House/Merion Miss), dark bay filly 3, bred by Berkshire Stud and Oak Cliff Breeders, Inc. won an allowance race at Aqueduct going a mile and a sixteenth on the turf. Trapped behind a wall of horses Elisa's Energy burst through with a 100 yards left to win going away to increase her earnings to over $85,320 in just six starts.

10/23/05  FAIT ACCOMPLI (Louis Quatorze/Passive Action), bay filly 4, owned and bred by Berkshire Stud finished second in the one mile Ajina Stakes at Belmont Park to increase her earnings to over $201,851. FAIT ACCOMPLI won the Saratoga Dew Stakes at Saratoga and finished third in the Busanda at Aqueduct. She is a half-sister to NY stakes winner of $391,919  SHERPA GUIDE.

10/16/05 HIGH PEAKS (Peaks and Valleys/Phari), dark bay filly 4, bred and owned by Berkshire Stud won an open allowance race at Belmont Park by 2 lengths going the six furlongs in 1:09.2. The win elevated her career earnings to $303,429 and was her sixth career victory. HIGH PEAKS is a multiple listed stakes winner. 


10/5/05 GOLDEN STRAVINSKY (Stravinsky/Shagadellic), dark bay colt 3, bred by Berkshire Stud and Oak Cliff Breeders, Inc. and owned by Scuderia Golden Horse won a seven furlong allowance race in Rome, Italy to take his record to 7 wins and 8 places in 16 starts to date. A multiple Listed stakes winner he has earned over $220,000.



10/2/05 Private Town (Cape Town/Mooring), dark bay gelding 2, bred by Berkshire Stud and owned by Cash Assmussen won his first career start in a maiden race at Hawthorne Racecourse in Chicago.

9/18/05 HIGH PEAKS (Peaks and Valleys/Phari), dark bay filly 4, owned and bred by Berkshire Stud finished second, beaten a nose, in the $100,000 added Schnectady Handicap to increase her earnings to $274,029

9/4/05 Curtana (Lion Hearted/All Engaged) dark bay filly 2, bred and owned by Berkshire Stud, broke her maiden going 6 and 1/2 furlongs at Saratoga in her third start. Never off the board in three starts, Curtana has earned $40,100. She was ridden by Eibar Coa and is trained by Thomas Bush.




8/12/05 Elisa's Energy (Chester House/Merion Miss) dark bay filly 3, bred by Berkshire Stud and Oak Cliff Breeders Inc., broke her maiden at Saratoga in a maiden special weight going 1 1/8 mile on the turf to increase her earnings to $49,320 in four starts. Previously a disqualified winner on the turf at Del Mar, Elisa's Energy has finished first or second in all four of her starts. She is a half-sister to Arkansas Derby winner Private Emblem, stakes winner Rhum, and stakes-placed Taghkanic.


7/16/05 HIGH PEAKS (Peaks and Valleys/Phari) dark bay filly 4, owned and bred by Berkshire Stud finished second by a neck in the Shine Again Stakes at Belmont Park to increase her career earnings to $244,404. Making her first start in four months after a freshning, HIGH PEAKS gave weight to the winner over a deep racetrack and finished eight lengths in front of the third place finisher.

7/15/05 Chamonix (Louis Quatorze/Passive Action) bay filly 3, owned and bred by Berkshire Stud broke her maiden in her first career start at Belmont Park. A half-sister to stakes winner Sherpa Guide and full sister to stakes winner Fait Accompli, Chamonix broke poorly, raced greenly, went four wide and still got up in time for the win going six furlongs.

6/24/05  Earhart (A.P. Jet/All Engaged) dk. bay filly 3, bred by Berkshire Stud and owned by Paul and Gilmary Andrews won an allowance race at Belmont in her second start of 2005 after finishing third in her initial outing to raise her earnings to $63,354. Now the winner of two races she is on target for a summer campaign.

 

3/26/05  GOLDEN STRAVINSKY (Stravinsky/Shagadellic), dk. bay colt 3, bred by Berkshire Stud and Oak Cliff Stable and owned by Scuderia Golden Horse won a condition race in Rome, Italy to take his career earnings to over $183,104. A listed stakes winner last year at two GOLDEN STRAVINSKY has won or placed in twelve of his thirteen starts.

 

 


3/18/05  Riverview (Irish River/All Engaged), chestnut filly 4, bred and raced by Berkshire Stud, broke her maiden at Aqueduct in her third career start. Now an earner of $29,400 Riverview will be pointed for a summer grass racing campaign.

 



3/12/05  Parisparis  (Arch/Caribbean Hideway), dark bay filly 3, bred by Berkshire Stud, finished second beaten a head in the Sam Houston Oaks in only her third career start. Previously a second out maiden winner at The Fairgrounds, Parisparis has been first or second in all three of her lifetime starts for earnings of $27,880.


3/12/05  HIGH PEAKS (Peaks and Valleys/Phari), dark bay filly 4, bred and owned by Berkshire Stud, won the $82,350 Broadway Handicap at Aqueduct in stakes-record time. Previously Listed stakes-placed in the Ruthless Stakes in New York, HIGH PEAKS is now a stakes winner of over $231,101 and is the first foal of Berkshire Stud bred and raced Phari.

 

 

2/13/05  Parisparis (Arch/Caribbean Hideway), dark bay filly 3, bred by Berkshire Stud, won her second career start in an open maiden race at The Fairgrounds by 6 and 3/4 lengths. Now an earner of $19,880, Parisparis was third in her first start also an open maiden race at The Fairgrounds. Sold as a yearling for $13,000 at the Saratoga preferred yearling sale she realized  $95,000 as a Maryland two year-old. Trained by Mike Stidham she is owned by Coastal Racing LLC. Parisparis is a half-sister to FRENCH HIDEWAY (NY SW), $100,000+ earner Private Enterprise and Berkshire Stud broodmare Coney Island Girl.
